City of Trees

Inspired by South Pasadena’s motto “City of Trees” this mural at Arroyo Vista Elementary reflects the natural beauty surrounding the school. The local trees were used as a guide to create an educational design that’s still fun and bright. The entire 5th grade class (150+ kids!) contributed to this collaborative project, offering feeback throughout the design process and painting alongside us. Their thumbprints form “stars” in the constellations, adding a personal touch to this community mural. Thanks Dunn Edwards for the paint donation!
